What If…? Season 2 is just moments away now. Marvel wasted no time in giving fans a sneak peek into the multiverse wonders that lie ahead. What If…? made its mark as the first animated MCU series on Disney+, weaving a tapestry that intricately connected TV shows and movies. It also delved deep into the mind-bending concept of the multiverse, a theme that was first teased in Loki.
Season 1 of What If…? was a rollercoaster ride with nine episodes, each spinning a new yarn around its central question. It took you on a journey through alternate timelines, creating universes spawned from pivotal moments in the main MCU timeline playing out differently.
From Captain Carter to Star-Lord T’Challa and the Avengers meeting their untimely demise, What If…? carved out its own unique space in the Marvel universe. The cherry on top? All the heroes from the eight episodes were brought together by The Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright. They formed Guardians of the Multiverse to defeat Ultron who had taken over the multiverse.

What If…? Season 2 plot
Marvel Studios hasn’t revealed anything more than the titles of season 2. The titles give you a brief idea about what each episode will be about. Note that there are many possibilities in the multiverse and hence, that gives Marvel a lot of scope to focus on. However, this season’s head writer A.C Bradley has opened up about what to expect from this season.
Marvel is sticking to the anthology format that made the first season a hit. What If…? Season 2 will take you on a journey through uncharted territories of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If you’ve been following Phase Four of the MCU, you’re in for a treat. The creators are pulling inspiration from the latest Marvel installments. You’ll see glimpses of Eternals, Shang-Chi, and the formidable Black Widow. One of the coolest aspects of What If…? is its ability to traverse the vast expanse of the multiverse.
Bradley further added that this season focuses more on the character stories which show a different side of them that people don’t expect, and hopefully, they can relate to.
Get ready to bounce around like a superhero on a caffeine boost as the show explores new worlds, introduces fresh faces, and unravels storylines that will keep you guessing until the very end.
