Who is Echo?
Echo’s real name is Maya Lopez, a native American woman. As seen in Hawkeye, Maya’s father William “Crazy Horse” Lincoln, worked with Kingpin a.k.a Wilson Fisk. Fisk eventually had Maya’s father killed and became her guardian.
Kingpin thought that one day, Maya can be useful to him and hence he asks her to learning fighting skills as well as the performance arts. Because of the guidance that Fisk provides to Maya she looks upon him as her father figure. As she grows older, she urges to find the person who killed her father. She is thinks that Ronin killed her father.
But she finds out that Ronin killed her father based on a tip provided by Kingpin and hence she shoots a bullet in his eye assuming that he’s dead.

Wilson Fisk will be try to kill Maya Lopez as she tried to kill him. Because of this there’s bloodbath, drama and consequences. As this show is supposed to be street level, it’ll also set the tone for the upcoming ‘Daredevil – Born Again’ show.
As a deaf Native American character, Echo offers a fresh perspective, breaking new ground in the superhero genre.
