Everything You Need to know about 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's' ending

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier built its plot slowly but the last episode really got the internet hyped. Marvel Studios is playing very intelligently and dropping hints. Fans are building up their theories which is just the reason of this post.

A mid-season sneak peek was released followed by a short 15 sec clip which included a couple of extra scenes. The only thing which is confirmed is that we’ll get to see Falcon and Winter Soldier go against John Walker.

One more thing which I think will be true is about the runtime of the fifth episode…!

Runtime of the Fifth Episode

According to reddit user Plenty_Echidna_545, the EP 05 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will 61 minutes long including credits. The user also claims that Sam and Bucky will go to Louisiana. Now this makes sense because in the last episode, Karli Morgenthau did threaten Sam’ sister Sarah.

Chris Evans shows up as Steve Rogers

During a recent interview on BBC Radio 1’s Screen Time, Wyatt Russell answered if he’d ever met Chris Evans.

“Have I ever met Chris Evans? I think I have,” he answered. “I don’t think I’ve shook his hand, but I think I’ve walked by him somewhere and made eye contact.

“That counts as being a stalker, that doesn’t count as meeting anybody.

What Russell meant to do here is both keep the ball in Marvel Studios’ court and building more hype. This could also be a deliberate mislead just like with Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) cameo in WandaVision.

A Major Cameo in EP 05

Marvel Studios seem to be continuing the trend of cameo started by Stan Lee in movies to its TV shows too. While the previous cameo of Skrull in WandaVision didn’t excite the fans too much, the cameo in The Falcon and The Winter soldier will be played by an award winning actor/actress as per the film sources. The cameo will be of a existing Marvel Comic character which hasn’t yet appeared in the movies.

The identity of The Power Broker may tie up the Daredevil connection in the MCU

Another fan theory is that the mysterious “Power Broker” is another name for Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin. Fans think that Vincent D’Onforio who played Wilson Fist in Marvel Netflix Universe will be seen as the power broker. This is because Madripoor is a city in Asia and Marvel shows on Netflix constantly tease The Hand’s activities. So there’s a chance that Marvel may use Fist to bridge the gap between Daredevil and MCU. The official cast of Spiderman : No Way Home already confirms Charlie Cox in the movie.

The recent comic “King in Black” showed the fans how Wilson Fisk creates his own “Thunderbolts” team which is similar to Suicide Squad of Marvel. Fans are also expecting a Thunderbolts spinoff.

Isaiah Bradley may team up with Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Marvel Studios producer Moore has already revealed that Isaiah Bradley will have a bigger role. This means that we’ll get to see him at least once more. I think that Isaiah Bradley will fight alongside Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

But there’s a twist.

According to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s writer Malcolm Spellman interview with ComicBook.com, EP 05 will be very emotional.

“Hands down, five, it just gets real,” Spellman said. “And five, you’re going to cry.”

Now, Zemo’s on the run and the internet is less worried about him. Daniel Bruhl himself said that Zemo is not to be trusted after the third episode and in the next one he runs away.

Dr Wilfred Nagel’s serum came from Isaiah Bradley. Zemo was already on the mission to end the Winter Soldier program in Captain America : Civil War. So there are chances that he may get to know somehow about Isaiah and then he kills Isaiah.’

What I think about the theories?

Now, except from the first one, the rest all are theories which have the potential to be true. As a fan, I get very excited to learn about new theories or making them up. But as an entertainment blogger I tend to re-check or re-think if the theories will be true. So, here’s what I think:

The chances of Chris Evan showing up as old man are slim. So I don’t think he’ll show up. I’ll leave the cameo choices entirely up to Marvel given that they’re the best in business when it comes to keeping secrets. I’m okay even if there’s no cameo.

Setting Madripoor up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is a brilliant move by Marvel Studios.

So, introducing Madripoor leaves the doors open for X-men too. Also, the upcoming Shang-Chi movie could take place here. But if The Power Broker is Wilson Fisk from the Netflix Universe, he may very well be behind bars otherwise it could raise more questions. Also, the Fisk is a lot darker and I don’t think Marvel is ready to deal with him right now. The show’s on Disney+ and bringing Vincent D’Onforio’s Fisk would mean that the rating for further Marvel Projects would change from PG-13. So, it’s a no-go.

For the theory about Isaiah, I think that some of it may happen.

Let me know what you think about the ending in the comments section.
