Two days ago, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon posted on the set photos of the upcoming Spiderman 3 movie. Each of them added a poster with a different name to keep the fans guessing the movie’s official title.
Yesterday, Tom Holland again posted a video on his Instagram account revealing the official title for the movie.
This movie be directed by Jon Watts. He has also directed the previous two Spidey movies. This movie too will retain the same cast as in the previous two movies i.e. Zendaya as MJ, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Jacob Batalon as Ned and Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson.
Since the announcement of Phase 4, the third Spiderman movie is in talks all over the internet. Here’s what has happened till now.
In early November, Tom Holland added this image on his Instagram account letting his fans know that the shooting has begun.
What to expect in Spiderman: No way home?
The exciting part about this movie is that Doctor Strange will have a cameo in this movie. Reports say that Strange will be the new mentor for Peter Parker which makes sense as in Avengers IW, Parker was formally introduced to Strange. Also, Doctor Strange will be the only mature person left in the new Avengers supposedly to be led by Captain Marvel.
Furthermore, this Jamie Foxx who played the role of Electro in Sony’s The Amazing Spiderman 2 will reprise his role in this movie.
Also, we’ll have J.K Simmons portraying the role of John Jonah Jameson, the irritating publisher or editor in chief of The Daily Bugle who surprised us with his role in FAR FROM HOME.
During the past two months, the internet was filled with rumors of Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire who were the faces of the previous two Spiderman franchises and Alfred Molina who played Dr. Octopus joining the cast. But there’s no word on Tobey Maguire yet. Amidst all this, Tom Holland has officially denied of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the movie.
Despite all that, I would love to see this scene.
I’m guessing that Doctor Strange will play a role in making this happen. Also, according to Polygon, the actors posting different titles shows a sign of the Spiderman: No way home, containing a multiverse timeline.
The official cast even shows Benedict Cumberbatch, Alfred Molina and Andrew Garfield. Also, there’s Charlie Cox who has played the character of Daredevil, joining this movie. But his name’s not there in the cast.
There’s also a rumor of Ned becoming the green goblin in this movie.
So, what will actually happen in the movie depends in the hands of Kevin Feige since he’s calling the shots for MCU. Marvel has already secured the rights of Daredevil from Netflix. So, the facts support the rumors. We don’t have any information on the plot of the movie yet. The trailer for Spiderman supposed to drop soon.
I’m guessing we’ll have the trailer by the end of March.
To conclude, it’s just great that Marvel is bringing everything together in Spiderman: No way home as the fans hate seeing when a comic character gets casted with a new face.
Before Tom Holland’s Spiderman movie in the MCU, there was going to be a third Spiderman movie with Sony Pictures and Tom Hardy’s Venom was going to have a role in it. But Marvel got the rights for Spiderman and we never got that movie.
